Overview
AUPADS RSBL (Relay Spam Blacklist) was the relay-focused list within the AUPADS project, which also operates the still-active AUPADS DUINV (dynamic/unresolvable IP list) and AUPADS ORVEDB (open relay database). RSBL specifically tracked IP addresses that had been confirmed to relay spam β either through open relay abuse or as infected relay nodes.
While AUPADS DUINV and ORVEDB remain operational, RSBL has been discontinued as a standalone list.
How It Works
AUPADS RSBL was populated from relay testing and spam trap data. IPs confirmed to be forwarding spam β either because they were open relays being exploited by spammers or because they were compromised and relaying malicious content β were added to the list. The relay-specific focus complemented ORVEDB's broader open relay detection.
How to Get Delisted
AUPADS RSBL has been discontinued and no removal process is available. If you are concerned about relay configuration, check the still-active AUPADS ORVEDB for listings. To prevent relay abuse, ensure your mail server only relays for authenticated users and authorized IP ranges.
