Overview
JIPPG was a Japanese community-operated IP blacklist project aimed at reducing spam affecting Japanese mail infrastructure. It represented one of several regional anti-spam efforts that emerged in Japan alongside better-known international lists like RBL.JP.
Regional blacklists like JIPPG served an important role by focusing on spam patterns and sources particularly relevant to Japanese networks. The project has been discontinued and its lists are no longer maintained.
How It Works
JIPPG collected spam reports and abuse data from participating Japanese network operators and mail administrators. IPs confirmed to be sending spam to Japanese networks were added to the list. The project relied on community participation for data, which is typical of regional blacklist initiatives.
How to Get Delisted
JIPPG is no longer operational. No removal requests can be submitted and the list carries no deliverability impact. If you are targeting Japanese recipients and encountering deliverability issues, focus on active lists such as RBL.JP and major international lists like Spamhaus.
