Overview
SpamRATS NoPTR lists IP addresses that lack PTR (reverse DNS) records. A PTR record is a basic requirement for mail server identity verification β IPs without PTR records are considered suspicious by most receiving mail servers.
How It Works
The system simply queries each IP's PTR record. If the query returns NXDOMAIN (not found) or times out, the IP gets listed in NoPTR. It's the most straightforward detection method there is.
How to Get Delisted
Set up a proper PTR record for your IP. Contact your ISP or hosting provider to create a PTR record pointing to your mail server's hostname. Once the record is live, submit a removal request at spamrats.com/lookup.
