Overview
Suomispam ("Finnish spam") was a Finnish anti-spam community project dedicated to tracking IP addresses sending spam to Finnish mail infrastructure. Finland, like other Nordic countries, developed regional anti-spam initiatives to address spam patterns specifically targeting local ISPs and users.
Suomispam contributed to the broader Nordic anti-spam ecosystem alongside similar projects from Norway (Nordspam) and Sweden. The project has been discontinued.
How It Works
Suomispam gathered spam reports from Finnish mail operators and monitored trap mailboxes on Finnish domains. IPs generating complaints from Finnish users or triggering Finnish-hosted spam traps were listed. Regional visibility allowed Suomispam to catch campaigns specifically targeting Finnish recipients that might be missed by international lists.
How to Get Delisted
Suomispam is no longer operational and no removal requests can be submitted. For deliverability to Finnish recipients, ensure good standing on major international blacklists and monitor feedback from Finnish ISPs such as Elisa and Telia.
