Overview
abuse.ch DBL (Domain Block List) was the domain-focused counterpart to abuse.ch's IP-based lists, cataloging domains associated with malware distribution, phishing campaigns, and botnet infrastructure. It filled a niche complementary to spam-focused domain lists like Spamhaus DBL, with a stronger emphasis on active malware threats.
Consistent with abuse.ch's broader strategic shift, the DBL was discontinued in favor of richer threat intelligence products that provide more actionable data than binary DNS responses.
How It Works
Domains were added based on abuse.ch's security research findings β including domains hosting malware samples, acting as C&C callback addresses, or used in targeted phishing campaigns. The list was closely tied to data from other abuse.ch tracking projects and updated frequently as new threats were identified.
How to Get Delisted
The abuse.ch DBL has been shut down and is no longer maintained. No removal request is possible or needed. For current domain-based threat intelligence, abuse.ch's active platforms (MalwareBazaar, Feodo Tracker, ThreatFox) offer more comprehensive and up-to-date coverage.
