Overview
Lashback UBL (Unsubscribe Blacklist) is unique β it doesn't track spam per se, but unsubscribe link abuse. Specifically, if a user clicks an email's unsubscribe link but the sender ignores the request and keeps sending, the sender's IP gets listed.
This matters for legitimate marketing senders: honoring unsubscribe requests isn't just a legal requirement (under laws like CAN-SPAM), it directly affects your IP reputation.
How It Works
Lashback embeds tracking unsubscribe links in partner emails. When a user clicks unsubscribe, they monitor whether the address continues to receive email from the same sender. If emails keep coming after unsubscribe, the sender's IP gets listed.
How to Get Delisted
First, make sure your unsubscribe mechanism actually works β clicking unsubscribe should take effect immediately. After fixing, visit lashback.com to submit a removal request.
